Intumescent fire door pack fitting
An intumescent fire door lock pack contains graphite.
It’s designed to stop the transference of heat to the ironmongery rebated on to timber door sets.
Standard door locks conduct heat and expand at high temperatures, making the need for a stronger, fire door lockset vital when securing fire doors.

Intumescent strips – The silent protector
Intumescent seals are small strips that generally sit in a groove around a doorway, either in the frame or the door itself.
Made of complex materials, they will expand many times their size in the event of a fire, sealing the gap between the door and frame and preventing fire spreading from room to room.
